Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

YuCROWN Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in New Jersey, United States (EIN 99-3649964). We operate yucrown.earth and earthlinc.earth. Our mission is to build permanent, sovereign connections between people and the natural world through Earth LinC, our on-chain ecological identity experience.

2. Information We Collect

When you make a Drop: your name, email address, and payment information. Payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store your card details.

When your Earth LinC is created: your email address is used to link your on-chain wallet (ERC-6551 on Polygon). Your Earth LinC identity is recorded on the Polygon blockchain and EcoMatcher’s TreeChain — these records are public and permanent by design.

Usage data: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. This includes pages visited, time on site, and general location. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: process your Drop and issue your Earth LinC; send you your Earth LinC access link; provide tax receipts for your tax-deductible contribution; communicate updates about your forest and Earth LinC; and improve our services.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 4.

4. Third Parties

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy

EcoMatcher — tree verification and GPS tracking. Your tree’s data is recorded on EcoMatcher’s TreeChain blockchain. This data is public by design.

Polygon blockchain — your Earth LinC wallet and Digital Certificates are recorded on the Polygon public blockchain. Blockchain records are permanent and publicly visible.

Google Analytics — anonymized usage data only. No personal information is shared.

Benevity — if you make your Drop through Benevity’s corporate giving platform, Benevity’s privacy policy also applies.

5. Blockchain Data

Your Earth LinC is recorded on the Polygon blockchain. Blockchain records are permanent and cannot be deleted — this is a core feature of Earth LinC, not a limitation. Your wallet address and Digital Certificates are publicly visible on-chain. Your name and email address are not stored on the blockchain.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by YuCROWN at any time by contacting giving@yucrown.earth. Note that on-chain records cannot be deleted.

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Data Retention

We retain your name and email for as long as your Earth LinC is active, and for seven years thereafter for tax and legal compliance purposes. On-chain records are permanent.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your personal information. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

9. Children

YuCROWN does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Earth LinC Youth Program requires participants to be 13 or older.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
