Earth LinC · Layer 1

Every action for this earth
deserves to be remembered.

A tree planted in Thailand. A river tested at dawn. A beach cleaned by hand. A patrol walked through the night. A child who learned what a wetland is. A farm without poison.

Earth LinC is built to hold all of it. One direction is live. Five are open.

01
Restoration
Live now · EcoMatcher verified
Creating or restoring living systems — trees, coral, mangrove, native habitat. The outcome is a living entity that continues to grow and function after the action ends. Of all six directions, Restoration produces the richest on-chain record: a GPS coordinate, a species, a farmer's name, a planting date, and a growth trajectory that deepens for years as satellite data flows back. The certificate is literally alive — it grows as the tree grows.
Current location · Mae Hong Son + Krabi, Thailand
Verification partner · EcoMatcher (Certified B Corporation, Hong Kong)
Ground partner · Conserve Natural Forests (CNF), since 2014

02
Remediation
Open invitation
Removing harmful material or organisms from ecosystems. The outcome is a cleaner environment — measurable, verifiable, complete the moment the action ends. Unlike Restoration, Remediation does not produce a living entity; it produces an event record. What happened, where, when, how much was removed.
What enters Earth LinCEvent record: location, date, quantity removed, type of material (plastic, invasive species, chemical contamination), before-and-after evidence, certifying organization. The certificate records the event permanently.
We're looking forBeach cleanup organizations, invasive species removal programs, ocean plastic projects, river restoration groups with documented impact records.

03
Monitoring
Open invitation
Generating data about ecosystems and species. The outcome is a knowledge contribution that enters a dataset used by scientists, governments, conservation organizations. The more times a person monitors, the deeper their record grows. Ten years of bird counts at the same wetland is qualitatively different from one count.
What enters Earth LinCData contribution: species observed, location, date, methodology, observer identity, dataset it contributes to. Value compounds with repetition.
We're looking forCitizen science platforms (eBird, iNaturalist), water quality monitoring networks, wildlife observation programs, biodiversity datasets.

04
Protection
Open invitation
Preventing harm to existing ecosystems. The most underrecognized direction. The patrol walked, the fire watch kept, the reserve stewarded over years — this work is invisible precisely because it succeeds. Nothing dramatic happens. The forest remains. Earth LinC is the first place a record of sustained protection can accumulate, belonging to the person who did the work.
What enters Earth LinCProtection record: area covered, duration, activity type (patrol, fire watch, anti-poaching, trail maintenance), threats detected. Value lives in consistency over years.
We're looking forProtected area management organizations, conservation patrol programs, fire management agencies with documented stewardship records.

05
Education
Open invitation
Changing human knowledge, skills, and commitment related to ecological protection. What gets certified is not just the program — it is the person who completed it, the commitment they made, the capacity that now lives in them. A youth conservation program leaves a verifiable record of a changed person, and that change persists long after the program ends.
What enters Earth LinCParticipation record: program name, organization, location, date, completion status. The certificate records what was learned and committed to — not just attendance.
We're looking forYouth conservation programs, citizen science training organizations, field schools, university extension programs, environmental education networks.

06
Sustainable Practice
Open invitation
Ongoing practices — not one-time acts — that maintain ecological health as part of daily life or business. Organic agriculture, sustainable fisheries, agroforestry, eco-tourism. The certificate is never finished, because the practice never ends. This is the only direction where time itself is the primary value — a practice maintained for ten years is worth more than a practice begun last week.
What enters Earth LinCPractice certification: certifying body, practice type, audit dates, ongoing compliance record. Continuous — verified by periodic audit.
We're looking forOrganic agriculture certifiers, sustainable fisheries councils, agroforestry networks, eco-tourism certification bodies with audit-based ongoing certification.

The six categories are grounded in IUCN-CMP (Salafsky et al., 2008), Ones & Dilchert (2012), and Stern (2000). For the full taxonomy and method, see the deep dive in /open.

Bring your verification into Earth LinC

If your organization verifies ecological actions in any of the five open directions, we want to hear from you. The conditions are simple: certified by a trusted third party, anchored to something verifiable in the world.
